From Little Charo 4 episode 11
"A little white lie"
What's wrong with Charo.
Charo's stomach starts to ache.
Something wrong is with Charo.
Charo got sick because of the chocolate in the ice cream which Yoko had given.
Tomoko cancelled the shoot but she told Yoko that Kevin was sick. She told a lie not to make Yoko feel responsible.
It was Tomoko's gentle lie to back up her friend.
It's said to be " A white lie ".
It was a fantastic kindness and friendship.
"A little white lie" is the same as "friendly lie"、isn't it?
返信削除It is hard expression to understand by us in the Japanese manner.
So, the opposite word of "a white lie" is " a black lie", right?
By the way, I am going to watch a professional baseball game with elder grandson on tonight.
Today's game is Hanshin Tigers and Chunichi Dragons, and grandson is Dragons-fan.
I'm not sure if there is a word " black lie " for the opposite of " white lie ".
削除We have some Japanese words using color.
black stomach for the evil mind
red lie for the just lie
What else do you find?
It is saying as "midori no kurokami" in Japanese, but if literally in English is "Black hair of green", right?
返信削除In addition, "hakuhatu" of Japanese is "gray hair" not "white hair", isn't it?.
I'm sorry slower answer because had watching baseball game.
Thank you so much for your reply even after the exciting baseball game !
削除My research is
" aonisai " for "immature guy "
" yellow voice " for " high tone voice " ect.
