Today is the coldest day on the calendar, Daikan.
But it seems not so cold today and the coming 10 days forward.
It will be spring in 2 weeks called "Risshun".
The day is getting longer and longer after the winter solstice.
Though the temperature is low the route of the sun is getting closer and closer.
We don't have much snow now though in Daikan.

But the farmer in my neighbor says that we need the snow and the cold for a good harvest.
When it isn't cold and we don't have snow, the vermin doesn't die and the harvest is good in fall.
Kantyu is a best season for making soybean paste and sake.
I hope that the snow and the cold are moderable.
I'm not sure the coldest day will come around forward or not but they say February had the coldest ever been.

She died in this day of 1993 at the age of 63.
I can not forget her even now, who played Princess Anne in "Roman Holiday", which is published in more than half a century ago.

削除Today is a fine day.So I went to Botanic Garden of Toyama .A cherry blossom bloomed ,KANZAKURA.There were meny kinds of orchids.I love flowers.
