I saw big trees when I walked in the neighborhood.
They were along the street, tall and naked during winter.
I found many of acorns under some of them.
I guess they are a kind of oak tree, 'kunugi' in Japanese, aren't they?
I wonder why they were left. Wild animals( wild squirrels but not in this area ) and birds like crows would eat them or not?
But do they get more gourmet and prefer the garbage?
By checked on the net,"Oak" of English is the generic name of the plant (scientific name Quercus) of Quercus Fagaceae, and include deciduous tree and evergreen tree.
返信削除Although may be wrong,I think deciduous tree is "Kunugi" and evergreen tree is "Kashi" generally in Japan.
There are "Kashi" trees in my garden,it is evergreen tree with filled leaves.
Although many acorns had fallen under a tree in my garden,my grandchildren and neighborhood children got picked up.
Thank you for your helpful study.
削除I'm sure many deciduous trees having acorns including kunugi and konara.
Your garden seems like a wonderful woods for children. Your grand kids are very happy!
