Household helping company

The CEO of Popping, the company of childcare support, Noriko Nakamura is answering the interview. She's planning to hire 100 Pilipinos for the lacking number of household keepers this year.

"More than half of Japanese women give up returning to their jobs after having their first child. They need the social infrastructure to continue working flexibly, even after they marry or have children. We cannot expect them to work the same way men do, with such long hours. There is nothing attractive about it and there is no need to do so. We must change so women can thrive.

Many working women would like to take care of the housekeeping themselves, but they have so little time. Younger Japanese men are now more willing to help, but I don't think cleaning and cooking is the only ideal way of caring for your family. At a time when dual-income households are increasing, spending more time with your children or your partner by outsourcing housekeeping can be another way of having a fulfilling life."

  2. Although it is not applicable at my home, I think in the current situation where nuclear familization is progressing and for family of two-earner couples, household chores and care of children are very serious problems.
So, the emergence of household helping company got timely.
However, I think that user is limited with wealthy class because 3,000 yen per hour is somewhat expensive.

By the way, I am registered at a group of paid volunteer "Tasuketto Club" (たすけっとクラブ) and working to help mainly elderly sometimes.
The usage fee is 200 yen per 15 minutes (800 yen per hour) and very cheap.

    1. It's not volunteer but business to help domestic houseworks instead of housekeepers at home. Of course the workers should be paid enough by the wealthy home.(≧∀≦)
