Indeed, it was very cold day yesterday, isn't it? I was surprised to be a little snow was falling occasionally. But, warmth seems to come back over the weekend from today. In my home, the living room is heating with thermal storage device using electricity at night. So, I am busy because I must be to set a amount of heat storage with the daily air temperature in order to save energy.
By the way, I have observed heron nests in every day walking. Until yesterday there was only each one bird in the two nests, but in this morning there are one pairs heron in one nest and they spent like happily in the nest. Also, this heron is "Gray heron(青鷺)" like Shirakawa saying in the Japanese version, it is not ”Egret(白鷺)”.
Oh...that's a nice comment to hear. Not only me but some people care and feel sympathy with the wild birds...it's a kind of good therapy. I've never seen herons pair in my area...I often saw them but almost alone. I thought herons don't like a flock but help each other to raise babies!
