One of my neighbors takes his dog to the vet quite often. Last month he consulted the vet about the skin problem his dog had devleoped. According to him, the dog often scratched around his ears. My neighbor was afraid that the dog might be afflicted with ear mites. Much to his relief, the vet said it is a common disease among dogs as well as cats and that it is not fatal. So I assumed that mites are not dangerous to humans, either. A few days later, I was shocked when I heard the news that five Japanese people had died of viral infection transmitted by "mites." After reading your today's entry, I surfed the Internet to find out why. Here is what I have found. There seems to be different types: mostly, mites and ticks. Rat mites, ear mites and house dust mites are not deadly, but ticks that live outside, particularly in grass, carry the infectious virus. I also learned that no traces of tick bites were found on the bodies of the deceased. However, their blood samples clearly showed that they died from tick-borne disease. It was very mysterious. Well, in order to avoid being bitten by ticks, we have to wear long sleeves and long pants when walking in grass.
I didn`t know for mites killer,and the news five people had died by mites. I am afraid of the news. I don`t have pets,but I will do to guard my skin in the wild field. I remember now,when I was young I climbed mountain,I wonder Mt.Hakusan? I stayed lodge one night,next day I had hives on my all body. It was very terrible,but thankfully have alived. Then I weared long shirt and pants.They came in between clothes? Anyway I will tell it to my family and friends.
OK..but you don't have to be too much nervous about that. You should know the right information of the mites and ticks and explain to your family and friends. It's no use to have too much fear but take a good care of the situation, otherwise we can't enjoy outdoor.
