Large tree with heron’s nests that has been introduced in this blog, is thing that is beside Siokura-bridge of Matsukawa, isn't it? This tree has many hanging fruit(?) of 3-4 cm large and round. I was notice this tree when walking along Matsukawa from around the end of February, too. When I saw、there was four nests on the tree. I thought that because there was a heron pairs in each nests, it had a nest for spawning and child-rearing. I think the nest is not suitable for the location because there is large amount of car traffic in this street, but I just hope that the chick is to born safely and grow.
Indeed...I agree with you. I felt uneasy with their insecure tree house. There are a lot flocks of crows nest next to the castle park. They are savage and outrageous to steal their eggs and chicks. I was really worried about them. That's why they shouted such a big scream.
Today in the afternoon, because the weather was very good, I was amounted to the observatory of the city hall and have been taking pictures of large panorama of great Tateyama mountain range. On the way, I was checking the tree that heron was making a nest. On top of the tree, there were four nests, but there were two heron on each one at only two nests, and two nest was like empty. In addition, heron was in the nest without leaving the nest at all. I think maybe heron have warmed eggs in the nest. But the male heron was not found､and crow and kite had been swirling over the tree. I think it was worry situation.
Oh...it's such a desperate case for the heron! They are trying to lay eggs and protect them from the enemies... but the crows and kites are so strong enough to threaten herons...it's so tough!!'
My comment is for human. Today,I went for first volunteer to help family support. There were about ten small children(babies)and them mothers and one grandmother. They came by turns. Staffs were four members and two volunteer in include me. I had a time to adjust,but I just used to be there. I was very glad to hold babies and to play with small children. That maked me happy. I had a good time!
Iit's nice of you to have had such a happy moment. It's said those who helps someone will be helped. You supported family and you were give pleasure back!
Spring of nests,there are two swallow's nests at the entrance of apartment. If I remember rightly,They hatch baby birds safety,they left the nest two year's ago. Last spring,They came back again.I kept watching the nest,but I was not able to see chick. I wonder if I can hear sound of chick's singing this spring. I'll keep my hopes up and see what happens.
That's the exciting topic in spring! I also like to find wild creatures survive and bring up their lives. Every life including human has its wildness and take after own spicies.
