Tomatoes are now on season. We can eat tomatoes each day freshly soon from the farm. But if you have too many tomatoes at once even keeping in the fridge, it won't keep fresh so long.
In the fields of my house we grow mini tomatoes and "Momotaro". But, this year I can't harvest it yet. Last year I froze a lot of tomatoes. So, I made a lot of tomato sauce, and I had " pasta de lunch" with my friends. I hope that many tomatoes can be harvested again this year.
By the way, We planned to go to the mountains of Shiga Highland from this Saturday. However, because the rain continues, the slack of the ground is assumed, so we are considering stopping.
Yeah, tomato is a typical vegetable of the summer, isn't it? In my home, especially granddaughter loves tomatoes very much and she is eating all year round not only in the summer. Now, it is somewhat expensive but we can get tomatoes at the supermarket all year round. By the way, my home grows 20 tomatoes in the field of my wife's parents' house also this year as usual and they started to color from a few days ago. Maybe, we will able to harvest a lot of fresh tomatoes every day from next week until around the end of August.
By the way, heavy rain warnings are issued today even in Toyama. When I crossed the Joganji river this morning, a violent muddy stream which I have not seen so far had flowing to the river's full width. Everyone must have sufficient warning against heavy rain.
It seems really hard to go out today. I'm lucky no class on Tuesday but have to go out on errands later...rainy season and typhoon are double together bringing us heavy rain today!
In summer, Tomato is very good. After I went to city plaza, I go shopping Jibamonya to buy vegetables every week. I like tomatoes but those are very expensive. I am worried buy or not, but I buy tomatoes a little. So I don't have tomatoes in the freezer.
It's good to buy fresh tomatoes frequently at the market. I buy them a pack of several pieces at a time so I can't eat at once...so I need to keep it longer.
I like tomato very well 4~5 years ago,I grow tometos. evryday gave gave water and manure to tomatos. Leaf and stem was excellent but couldn't grow tomato. So I learned Farming "Rakunougakuen" 2years Then I understand reason,Don't give water and manure too much. It's same as child care and dose not indulge it too much.
