The last two days
Two days are left in this year.

Extreme cold weather in the world
According to the weather news on line, it seems extremely cold in the North hemisphere, the North America and North west Japan.
We will have to take care to avoid coldness and let snow piles done.

Good luck or bad luck?
It's said we won't see the first sunrise at the New Year's morning because of the winter low pressure in our area but only the minor location facing for the North West Pacific Ocean. I have to complain about it " It's unfair... " but we can't help it any way.
Some of my friends from the East Pacific Ocean area will be great at home town to see the morning sun on the New Year so beautiful.
Good luck and bad luck are always with us. We can't tell it really good or bad until to the end.
I might happen to find something good because of the bad weather during the year end and the new year without sunshine.
Too much expectation would be burden but somehow interesting would be camphor for the depression.
I can find many interesting things being at home during the cold and wet days.
Reading, knitting, cooking, eating, watching and chatting will be special winter habits.
I will always take it easy.

Wishing of New Year's food
Japanese soul food on New Year's Day is said to be full of wish for the new year.
I've learned it "Gochisosan" on the TV program.
For example, black beans are for being active and vivid. Burdocks are for living steady in the deep earth, seaweed kombu would make happy and joyful, sea bream is for celebrating and kinton made from chess nuts and sweet potato symbolizes to make money...something like that.
It has a lot of meaning in the tradition.
Japanese traditional food is really worth to be praised...I'm every proud of it.

It's just the season here now.
"If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow..."
The song tells when the north wind begins to blow it come to solitude in your mind.
You need a good friend in your heart and realize that you are never alone.
I walked my dog against the cold storm this morning.
I almost gave up farther more steps, especially between the buildings much stronger gust.
My dog also didn't seem to enjoy the bad weather so we rushed and shortcut immediately back home.
Cold stormy weather excludes people away and shut out in the street.
We should keep quiet until the breaks of the dark clouds.

Cyclamen
I've got a vase of Cyclamen.
It's one of the popular winter flowers.
I chose the red one because the color red would give me energy and power.

The dying trees
Seeing the trees dying in winter I thought of the wonders.
They are so patient to wait for the next spring and time to bloom.
Their power gave me magical power even in cold winter days when I was also waiting for warmth back.
But this year, it's different.
I just envy those which die in winter and revive in spring again.
My father used to watch these blossoms every spring when he took a walk.
But he can't see them any more.
He died and never come back.
That's why I feel jealous for the trees.
It doesn't make sense to have such misfortune.
I know well that life time is limited so we can enjoy the precious moment alive.
We can't avoid going to decay.
It's not special to go dying in the nature.
I'd better comfort myself with the natural life.
I just adore things in nature.

It's said nuts eaters are healthier than those who don't eat.
Research tells below;
The more often nuts were consumed, the less likely participants were to die of cancer, heart disease and respiratory disease, and not because nut eaters succumbed to other diseases. Their death rate from any cause was lower during the years they were followed.
I wonder nuts are not almighty food but stronger than other fruits.

Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle is well known to of her talent of singing. She was found on the TV show program in 2009. She was 47 years old.
Not only in the UK but also in the world media caught the topics about her Cinderella story. She jumped up the stardom soon.
I'm sure she had been making efforts to be a so great singer and never gave up her dream.
Recently she was diagnosed Aspergers syndrome.
I hope she will get over difficulties and make herself happy.

Citron
It's season of Citron!
I've hot pretty citrons from a garden of a friend.
It's good flavor put into nabe cooking or the fish or meat companion.
It's not main but an important part of the roll to assist main dish.
It's also used for cosmetics and health in the bath tub in winter "Yuzuyu". I like to enjoy Yuzuyu in public bath.
Another Yuzu reminds me of "Yuzu",who is a main character of the TV drama "Daisuki" in 2008. I recently had a chance to watch it TBS on demand again.
It's about the mentally handicapped girl gave birth a baby and lived her hard life over the difficulties. Her baby"Himawari" is growing up in her mother's deep love.
I couldn't watch it without deep impression tears.
I'm also into the tune "clear after rainy" by Yuzu, which is the opening song.

Fruits and flowers in autumn
I've given some autumn fruits and flowers to share with good hearts.
Yuzu and persimmons are from the home trees of my dear friends. Apples and pears are from the farmer's of Nagano prefecture, which were bought as a year event of my firiend's.
The chrysanthemum is cultivated in the garden. She is very proud of her gardening very much.
I really admire of her spirit of the gardener.
The end of autumn, I'm happy to taste the autumn fruits and enjoy scent of the flower.

Season's boom
Cold and dark season makes me depressed but it's interesting to find fun indoors.
It's better to be homebody in such a bad weather.
I saw a nice wreath decorated with wild plants and fruits in the mountains.
It's really cool to make up a splendid handcraft.
She has a good sense of art and fashion.
I respect her to decorate her life time for free. I think it one of the richest life!
And the second hand made craft is pendant necklace made by paper clay and paint.
I've been given one of the designed pendants.
It's very valuable you can't buy anywhere.

Indian summer
It was pretty warm and sunny the day before yesterday.
I went walking for two hours to enjoy autumn.
The color of the leaves were already finished colored but there were more interesting fruits there.
It was like a small willow with cotton cap. There was also a red fruit in the same tree.

A tortoise
I happened to see a tortoise taking a walk and eating grasses.
It was sunny in the morning though a little cold.
The tortoise is a pet from Africa.
The owner took after the former one and breeding instead.
I was very surprised at the large size of the tortoise. It was as tall as 1m and the hard shell was round and tall with a pattern.
I wonder if the difference between tortoises and turtles.
They are said to be whether living on the land or in the sea.

Magical Sake
As I said that I enjoy watching TV drama "gochisosan" every morning.
It's so interesting enough to find new things each time for me.
I've got to know "Magical Sake" in it last week.
I tried to taste it by myself.
It was so delicious to drink much and finally got fallen sick and hung over!
It's a secret sake because it might make you sick, I'm afraid.
Only people who are regular of "gochisosan" knew it!

Thanks for the good meal
I'm not sure for the word "Gochisousama" in English but it's said " Thank you for the meal or delicious plate" something like that.
I'm enjoying the TV drama "Gochisousan" every morning after "Amachan".
It's also very interesting and attracts me a lot.

It's announced that the northern part of China is contaminated with PM2.5. It's not only for China but in Japan, we are also infected by the poisoned air from the continent.
It seems terribly to cause lung disease such as asbestos which is removed from all Japan because of its toxic substance.
We are worried about the toxin from coal flown by the air strongly during winter season.

The Tiger Mask movement
The first movement of the Tiger Mask who has kept giving charity to the orphans since 2010.
The movement has spread in all Japan by some people who share the charity with him.
He names himself " Naoto Date" as the same as the hero's name but his real name is covered.
He had been suffered from an orphan and lack of affection. He insists that you can't change the past but change the future. He wishes children who are not raised by their parents should get chance to change their life in the future. That's why he kept devoting to give them heartwarming presents.

Cancellation
We have been forced to cancel or postponed a lot of schedules this weekend by the couple typhoon 27 and 28.
It's the season for lots of events in autumn. Good season for sports, hiking and BBQ etc.
To avoid the worst result nothing is too much to care and protect safety from the disaster.
I'm lucky and happy to have been apart from the typhoon attacks.
But we should not forget that disasters would come around whenever you are in safe.
We will be able to share sunny days for a while after the typhoon according to the weather forecast .

It's getting darker and darker as it gets cold winter around here.
I unconsciously hum this song by myself...

Today's wisdom
The moon comes up from the mountains and lightens up the shape of the mountains.
It's just like the human behaviors such as,
" Troubles are cause by the careless whispers, which get back to break yourself."

Frost starts on the calendar
It's said that today is the day of frost stars on the calendar.
The cold air freezes and gives notice for the winter.
Everything needs to be prepared for hibernation.
I'm also beware for the cold or problems from coldness.
We will miss sunshine and blue sky for a while.
I'm happy that pretty sunshine this morning for the laundry and enjoy the moment at the most before the storm.

Next typhoon No.27
It reports an awful weather forecast that typhoon No.27 is coming up just the same way as the previous one No.26,which caused serious damage to Izu Ishima.
What's the worse the next one might be stronger than the former one.
They say that so many typhoon attacks this year were because of the warmer sea water in the south. It help easily to produce many typhoons.
It will come up 25th to 26th on this weekend.
We won't go out during the stormy days.
Let's make another plan to do indoors.

To start becoming minimalist
What if you lose all things but life by natural disaster?
What would you take with you if you meet sudden disaster like earthquakes, tsunami or flood?
I wonder if I could make myself calm or not in the confusion.
I have no idea for the serious problem but I come to the conclusion that I'd better possess less as possible in my life because we will lose all the things in the end.
I've been trying to make myself train to be a minimalist for years.
That's the best thought which I choose to prepare for the problems in my life, not only for the natural disaster but in all life itself.
I want to avoid annoying inside me and free from the annoyance or regret.
A minimalist would be ultimately peaceful and happy.

Typhoon No.27
It forecasts that typhoon no.27 is coming up to Japan next week...again!
It seems lots of typhoon attacks this year, so irregularly.
We are so much afraid of the stronger power attack after the damage caused by the previous one.
We can't be more careful than taking refuge to the safer place to avoid risks.
I wish no more typhoon any longer.

Jump into the hot spring
I went to the open air bath in the woods in the afternoon yesterday.
It was a beautiful fine day and expected color leaves.
Though the leaves didn't turned color yet there, I just enjoyed the hot spring for a while.
To my surprise there was no person but a grasshopper at the side of the hot water and then he jumped into the hot water with me.
He swam back to the end of the tub and climbed up to the side again.
I thought he was a regular visitor to the open air bath.
Later he jumped to the rocks and went away.
It was a nice moment in the nature.

Brilliant lovely morning
After the typhoon, it gets beautiful morning this is!
Marie eager to go for a walk to the park and bare the sunshine.
I take her to the park and spend time to find the slight autumn color getting to grow.
But there's still brilliant green here.
I will see the color leaves next month.

Flow my tears
I happened to hear the music on the radio. It was on the FM classic program "Labyrinth of Music".
I was very much impressed with the tune and revived by the modern artist.
It's who the most favorite singer I like, Sting he is!
I immediately bought his song of his album "Labyrinth".
His "Flow my tears" is very attractive and deep heart knocking to me, a kind of religious one.
I'm sorry it isn't seen on my device but can be seen on PC.
I will pick up classical one on this site.

Unseeable weather
Today I could walk or hang laundry outside.
For these days I was stranded to walk by the sudden rain and went back home. But it turned to be fine later soon.
I gave up walking last two days in the evening.
Today I was able to walk and hang the laundry outside this morning but it changed to start rain. I was lucky today.
The change of the weather is so quickly today. It's said " unstable autumn weather like men ".
It's originated from old Japanese proverb.

Malala won the Novel Peace Prize?
It's good news that Malala's almost won the Novel Peace Prize. But it was not real ...I'm sorry...I was flying to start for my mistake!
She said
“I wanted to speak up for my rights,” she told the BBC on Monday, when reminiscing about her early activism. “And also I didn’t want my future to be just sitting in a room and be imprisoned in my four walls and just cooking and giving birth to children. I didn’t want to see my life in that way.”
I want to say her good will influence in the world. There will be a hope with her.

The typhoon24 is coming up here soon in the afternoon.

Typhoon no.24
The 24th typhoon DANAS is said to be very strongly approaching to Okinawa now.
We don't know where she will go.
They say too many typhoons came this year, almost reached to the average numbers of those years.
By the way I saw an interesting sports at the beach. There were some kites flying in the air.
They were enjoying kite surfing on the windy beach.
It seems exciting but very dangerous.
I wish I could fly like a kite in the wind.

The air is fragrant
It's very fresh and fragrant with the smell of fragrant olive in my neighborhoods.
They bloom and spread sweet smell to cause me lovely feeling.

Without care for me
It was a fantastic TV drama"Amachan" means women who work to catch seashells.
The drama was devoted to people in Tohoku area who had been divested by the big earth quake in 2011.
I was really made impressed and laughed every morning during breakfast. It was one of my big fun time in a day.
I loved the word being talked by Natsu Bappa, who is the grandmother of the heroine, Aki.
"Ogamainaku" means "Thanks but don't care about me so much".
What a humble and considerate word it is!
I can't but admire those painful and strong mind in their heart.

It's so fantastic and amazing video which National Geographic presents.
One of them is "Toads survive in the deep valley" in Guyana, which explores the native ancient frog climbing the branches on the trees.
We never know the secret of the lives in nature. But I'm conscious about most of the life on the earth are full of mystery.

Local topics
It was yesterday's local evening news that there appeared a wild pig swimming in the sea.
It might have been from the mountain and wandering to seek for food. It's so rare to be caught there but it happened in some area in Japan before.
Wild pigs can swim like doggie's style " inukaki".
It's so funny but so sad to have heard it was shot to kill because of protecting agricultural products from wild pigs.
The second news was about the change of the route of the airline.
I wondered huge jet engine sound were frequently caused on the air in my area recently.
It was because of the reconstruction of the airport.
It said that localized which guides air plane to the right route is needed to change for new.
It's the period of the under construction.
It will be continued until November.
I should be patient for the noise of the jet for a while.

Season dish
It's great gift to have the season dish, chestnuts, mushroom and so on.
We are happy to cook kurigohan and kinokogohan.
I like to arrange those ingredients to mix up such as takikonigohan.
I like to put red beans or black beans also.

Message from autumn
It's been great weather for these days since the typhoon 18.
It's calm and mind in the morning and evening though being still hot in the day time.
I've found autumn flowers here and there in my neighborhood while walking.

The harvest moon
It was a great harvest moon last night.
The air was cool and mild good enough to walk under the moon light.
I ate dumpling with Japanese tea after the walk.
By the way, the mountain plants I wanted to know have been answered.
One is "mamushigusa" informed by Mr.Muir. The other is "ubayuri" investigated on the web by myself.

Outdoor lunch
If you are tired of cooking or eating out at the restaurant or the cafe.
Try to eat going outdoor lunch with friends or pets.
You will find more refreshing and exciting time even for lunch time.
You don't have to spare much time just for a couple hours.
Having rice ball or sandwich and some tea or juice and get to reach to the park or the hill near your house.
I'd like to find my pleasure time for having lunch outdoor under the blue sky.
You can also clean up in the fridge because you only bring the leftovers!
Isn't it a good idea?

After the typhoon
The typhoon brought autumn in here now.
After the typhoon, it got really cool under 20 degree C.
The sky and air are pure and clear . We recognized we are no power under the great nature.
It was beautiful sunset in the west sky yesterday.
