It's good news that Japanese news should have English subtitles. It's because for foreigners living in Japan but I think it's very helpful also for Japanese who are studying English.
Actually Japan is isolated from other countries and not so influenced immediately by other cultures nor languages or foreigners. But recent globalization without tripping nor visiting, internet enables us to be close to the different culture easily.
Now we need to use the second and third languages as tools to live in the world.
As you know English is a good communication tool for us at first!
We should live to be more familiar to English in the daily life.
It's a good way adopting subtitle English to the TV news.

By the way, TV news was televised typoon No.8 as seen from the space at last night.
What it amazing! Mass of clouds ara overhanging the Japan's southern part. Eye is seen clearly,too.

this typoon comes aim of Kyushu area, after this.
I only hope that the damage of more than now doesn't come out really !

I can not understand most of the contents of the TV when I visit a foreign country, especially non-English speaking country.
I think also English subtitles is helpful for Japanese who are studying English, but the English voice is more useful for us because listening ability of English is improved.

Then a few days ago, I have watched NHK news show at 9 pm.
I tried to watch by English,so I could know almost becouse I had known content, but I coud't undestand by English.
At once I thinked if there was the English title,that helped me a little.
So I'm looking for that come true.
You can learn more English if it would come true on Japanese news with English subtitle.
