How much sugar ?

It's said we take too much sugar easily in our diet, especially cold beverages in our daily life.
WHO( World Health Organization) proposed new guidelines that recommend consuming less than 5% of our total daily calories from added sugars.
The American researcher compared the amount of sugar found in some of America's top-selling beverages-according to Beverage Industry magazine's 2013 State of the Industry Report - to the sugar found in common sugary snacks.
How much sugar in that drink?

  1. We are taking a lot of sugar every day unwittingly.
    Recently, I often eat non-calorie diet.
    I know that homemade snack is good for health, but I just can’t seem to cook them.

    1. Yes, I know...there are a lot of temptation of containing sweet sugar around us.
      We are very accustomed to take too much sweet unconsciously.

  2. Today is hot and humid, too.
    This morning, when I decrypt the teacher's blog, Windows updte start, screen has disappeared.
    There is no way, I went to the dentist.
    Well, my husband favorite sweet tast, so, I also cooking is sweet.
    Given the health, I using brown suger. and we eat "senbei" also snack.
    But I wasn't tought suger amount of the day. I wonder who better to think?
    But to drinking "sake" every day....../

    1. We need to limit control to drink too much juice or soft drink such as cola, cider or sweet juice etc...I don't care about a bit alcohol at all.

    1. I like fruits, ice cream, cake and some confection.
      I sometimes skip meals but never skip tea and sweets ...that's a proble, isn't it?

  4. I knew from before that salt is not good for our health, but I did not know that sugar is also not good.
    In addition, I was surprised that a lot of sugar is included in Coca-Cola since I like it.
    I think that dietary life to comply regulation value of the sugar and salt is very insipid,but I want to do my best as much as possible for the health.

    1. Though it's telling about sugar it's about in the U.S.
      Our life in Japan has been big affected by western life, especially Ametican junk food a lot.
      We also need to be careful when we eat or drink too much sweet food.

  5. I drink neither juice nor soft drink. But I love fruits.
    We never underestimate of fruit sugar.
    I also like alcohol moreover and the present time beer is indispensable.
    But we have to conscious of excessive intake of sugar.

    1. Of course I like to drink beer in this season and iced coffe with no sugar.
      I eat salad and sweet desert, too. When I eat too much I sometimes skip next meal.

  6. That reminds me there are many big peple with many American people!
    I think that it is a great problem.
    the body is made with a thing to eat
    Japanese food are reviewed in the United States,
    But feel like understandide it.

    1. We'd better eat more Japanese food which is low calorie and low fat. Japanese sweets are less sugar than western sweets.

  7. I 've heared that obesity is big problem in advanced nation , especilly in America,and death of obesity are creasing.
    I think this is not only Beverage Indutry but also social problem.
    I'm sorry the suggestion of WHO was so late.
    But the problem is not only America.
    In Japan diabetes disease are creasing year after year.
    We have to need fighting myself to sweet temptation.
    That's right,but it's too sad!

  8. When I took my little child to the medical checkup,the district nurse talked about a sugar contained in beverages.There were about 10 lumps of big sugar beside a battle of a beverage.She said that it contained such amount of sugar. "How much it contains!", I was very suprised. I remembered.
    I heard some people got fat in summer because of drinking beverages too much.
    Be careful not to drink too much all the time.
