Use your noodle

"English conversation time trial"
The target this week is "Use your noodle"
What does it mean?
"noodle" is as you know long, thin and soft food like pasta. We can eat in soup or sauce. I often eat Japanese noodle "soba" or "ramen", of course Italian pasta as well.
By the way, why do we need to use those noodle in English conversation ?
Answer is "noodle" used as the same as "brain" or "head".
It's just a slang in English.
So the program in the English conversation tells you to use your brain well!

  1. I write the comments that I sent to teacher in the notebook ather day.
    When I think about comments, I'm devoted to it with brain as hard as possible.
    And I think "this is good!" and sent it to teacher.
    But, there a lot of places that when I read those comments later "this word is strange!" ,"why, using this word?"
    When I think about comment, my brain is full blast!.

  2. It was called “noddle” that the head of the old days, it seems to have become gradually “noodle.”
    For noodle reminds brains, it is used in the same sense as think in recent years.
    There are a lot of interesting wording in English.

  3. Thank you for your comment to 'the shape of cloud'.
    Yesterday evening, clouds showed me like dragon in a moment. I was suprised!

    I didn't know what "noodle" means brain or head now.
    Recently I think it's very important to use noodle.
    I like solve a puzzle from way back.
    When I concentrate on a pazzle, I can relax. Because I can forget various thought.
    I have a feeling of satisfaction to solve it, I can do the next action smoothly.
    Let's use your 'noodle' well !

    1. We can't stop solving the answers if we had questions.
      It's a good way to ask and wonder why as long as you are learning something.
      We'll be always learning to the end.

    I'm poor at answering at a moment having question.
    Although I'm going to do full rotation of the head, I do not go well.

  6. I knew the "Noodle" have a meaning of "head" for the first time by examining the dictionary.
    So,I was able to understand that the intent of the "Use your noodle".

    By the way, workings of the brain were active when I was active duty of company,but have felt a decline considerably after retirement.
    For this reason, as one of this correspondence, I am learning English in public lectures of this school from four years ago.
    In addition, I have started to read this blog every day for two years and posted a comment every day. So, I will be able to touch the English every day and learn it.
    I would like to continue this activities as much as possible and use my noodle.
