The precious words

The season of the New Year's resolution is getting over.
Do you still keep in your mind.
It was very impressing that Masako's words who is the oldest in my class. She has been studying English for 18 years since she was 72 years old.
Her resolution last year was to see the Hokuriku Shinkansen the following year, actually this year.
This year she thinks about Aguri Yoshiyuki who has passed away 108 years old last year, so she made a decision she would live to see the Tokyo Olympic 5 years forward.
That positive speech made us moved and gave us great encouragement.
There are words expressive of deep feeling.

    1. Yes,Masako is independent, decisive and self confident totally as a handsome woman!
I'm an early bird but that morning I fell in asleep early around 9:00pm and got up early 3:30am...so I got sleepy during the day.
I've learned around 11:00 pm to 5:00 am is good sleeping period for me.

  2. My mother is 92 old, she has been living alone.
Because mother has a lot of curiosity, I want to follow, too.
    By the way,
Last night, Hiroshi Yoshino's poetry had featured on NHK TV program " close-up 現代".
Now, I heard his words are closed up.
Let's read back his poetry again!

  3. I was deeply impressed to Masako introduced in this blog.
I was surprised that she is studying English for 18 years from 72 years old as well as being her positive spirit.
Although I am learning English for four years from 69 year old, I can't beat to her utterly.
I want to continue to learn English at least more than 10 years in the future.

By the way, belatedly, my resolution of this year is to keep healthy both mentally and physically in order to live healthy for 20 years from this year because I want to celebrate coming-of-age ceremony of my granddaughter who was born last year.

    1. Well...you think yourself being responsible for your granddaughter until coming of age! That's a great decision and goal!

I went to a World-Around-Us Lecture in TCFL and a few class mates came.
I saw an old woman who was a white bobbed hair and use a wheel chair.
She couldn't hear well but understood what the speaker said.
And she asked some questions with fluent English.
She went home with the old man who might be her son.
      Is she Masako?
I was impressed with her atittude for English even if she wasn't Masako.

    3. I'm sorry I couldn't attend to the lecture last night. The women you saw wasn't Masako because she doesn't sit on the wheelchair nor in white shirt bob hair.
She might be an advanced class student who has been devoting to English history, too.
