Autumn sweets

Chestnuts given from friend's garden are very precious.
I peeled outside and left inside.
Then I cooked them in sweet.
It's a wonderful home made sweet, special in Autumn.

  1. Are you leaving the astringent skin of when making the sweets of chestnut?
    Although it is hard work, it usually peels off the astringent skin.
    Chestnuts in my home will be boiled and peel off the outer skin and the astringent skin and then eat it. In addition, we taste it with the chestnut rice and kuri-kinton.

    By the way, I saw a strange scene that vast number of starlings had lined at the electric wire along "Himawari Street" of near my house in yesterday evening.
    I've seen such a scene the first time, and it was like seems Hitchcock movie, "the bird".

    1. I can imagine the scene what you're saying because I often saw a big flock of starlings at the north of Toyama station.

  2. I will go to the North Yatsugadake tomorrow and the day after tomorrow with my group.
    North Yatsugadake are easier to climb. Because It's gradual mountain pass.
    And, North Yatsugadake were made by the last eruption of the Yatsugadake.
    I think autumn leaves are beautiful now.
    So, I can't write comment a period of two days.
